Getting started
How do I create my account?
Download Bitsecrets from the App Store, pick a strong master password, and you’re ready. Your vault is encrypted on your device from the very first item.
Can I bring my existing passwords?
If you already have a Bitwarden-compatible account, just sign in — your vault appears, because Bitsecrets speaks the same open protocol. Coming from another manager? Contact us and we'll help you move in.
Autofill
How do I turn on autofill?
Open Bitsecrets, tap “Enable autofill” on the Home screen, and choose Bitsecrets in iOS Settings. From then on, logging in is a tap of Face ID.
Does autofill work in apps and Safari?
Yes — the iOS AutoFill extension fills credentials in both apps and Safari, wherever you sign in. Passkeys work there too: create them and sign in with them straight from AutoFill.
Security
What if I forget my master password?
Because Bitsecrets uses zero-knowledge encryption, we can’t reset or recover it — no one can, and that’s the point. Choose a master password you’ll remember, and export an encrypted backup now and then from Settings → Backup.
Can I use Bitsecrets on multiple devices?
Yes — your encrypted vault syncs through your account. Sign in on your iPhone, Android phone, browser extension, Mac, or the web vault, and everything is there. You can also keep multiple accounts side by side and switch between them.
What is the fingerprint phrase?
A short, human-readable phrase derived from your account’s encryption keys, used to verify your identity when connecting devices. Read more in the fingerprint phrase guide below.
How do I protect my account with two-factor authentication?
Turn on 2FA for your Bitsecrets account so a stolen master password alone isn’t enough to get in. See the two-factor guide below for details.

How much does Bitsecrets cost?
Nothing — the personal app is free forever, with every feature included: passkeys, 2FA codes, vault health, secure sharing, all of it. No trial, no credit card. Paid plans will come later, for families and organizations.
Is the free plan really free forever?
Yes. The paid tiers we're planning are Family and Enterprise — the personal app stays free, and your data is always yours: export it any time from Settings → Backup.
